I2E101: Introduction to Electronics & Programming is an engaging, hands-on course designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of electronics. Through eight weekly classes, students will gradually build up their skills, starting from the basics and progressing to more advanced concepts.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including electricity, Ohm's Law, circuits, resistors, diodes, LEDs, capacitors, and more. Students will also learn to use tools like a digital multimeter and various sensors.
A key focus of the course is on Arduino microcontrollers and programming. Students learn to program Arduino boards and use different types of sensors to create their own projects, such as a burglar alarm, buzzer, and LED display.
Participants are required to have a laptop for programming. Material cost is estimated to be $120 and covers essential items like an Arduino kit, multimeter, and presentation board.
By the end of the course, students gain a solid foundation in electronics and programming, enabling them to undertake exciting projects and continue their learning journey in this field.
